Nour woke up early and nervous.

Because today was her first day at Zarqa University.

She wore jeans, a white blouse, and a blue hijab.
وتأكدت إنه الهوية والمصاري بالشنتة مع باقي أغراضها
W ta’akkadat innu il-hawiyye wil-masari bish-shanta ma3 baqi aghradha
And she made sure her ID and money were in her bag with the rest of her things.

Her mother: Come on, don’t miss the bus!
وصلت الجامعة

She arrived at the university.
كان المكان كبير ومليان ناس
Kan il-makan kbeer w malyan nas
The place was big and full of people.
فحست إنها شوي تايهة
Fa7assit innaha shway tayeha
So she felt a little lost.
بعدها دورت على القاعة ودخلتها
Ba3daha dawwarat 3al-qa3a w dakhaltha
Then she looked for the classroom and entered it.
الدكتورة: أهلاً بالطلاب الجدد، عرفونا بحالكم
Id-diktora: Ahlan bit-tullab il-jdid, 3arrifuna bi7alkom
The professor: Welcome, new students. Introduce yourselves.
عرفوا الطلاب بحالهم

The students introduced themselves.
بعدها إجا دور نور
Ba3daha ija dor Nour
Then it was Nour’s turn.

During the break, she sat with two girls, Reem and Leen.

They drank tea.
وحكوا عن الدراسة والجدول

And talked about studying and their schedule.
وشاركوا خططهم لحياة الجامعة

And shared their plans for university life.

The day ended.
ورجعت على البيت مبسوطة

And she went home happy.
سألتها أمها عن يومها
Sa’alitha ummaha 3an yomha
Her mother asked her about her day.
