ذَهَبْتُ إلى السوق.
I went to the market.
أُريدُ أَنْ أَشْتَرِيَ فَواكِه.
I want to buy fruits.
قُلْتُ لِلْبائِع: “كَمْ سِعْرُ التُّفّاح؟”
I said to the seller: “How much are the apples?”
قالَ: “كيلو بِدينار.”
He said: “One kilo for a dinar.”
اِشْتَرَيْتُ تُفّاحاً وَمَوْزاً وَبُرْتُقالاً.
I bought apples, bananas, and oranges.
ثُمَّ اِشْتَرَيْتُ خُضاراً: طَماطِم وَخِيار.
Then I bought vegetables: tomatoes and cucumbers.
دَفَعْتُ خَمْسَةَ دَنانير.
I paid five dinars.
قالَ البائِع: “شُكْراً! تَفَضَّل.”
The seller said: “Thank you! Here you go.”
رَجَعْتُ إلى البَيْت سَعيداً.
I went back home happy.
