After a long day
at work,

sleepy and tired

حوالي الساعة خمسة المسا

He went back home
around five in the evening
دخل على غرفته
وسكّر الباب،
غيّر اواعيه
ولبس بجامته المفضلة القديمة المريحة
dakhal ʿala ghurfto
w sakkar il-baab,
ghayyar awaʿeeh
w libes bajaamto il-mufaḍḍale il-qadeeme il-mreeḥa
He entered his room
and closed the door,
changed his clothes
and put on his favorite old comfortable pajamas
بعد شوي
راح على المطبخ،
قرر يعمل سندويشة صغيرة
ويشرب كاسة شاي
baʿd shway
raaḥ ʿala il-maṭbakh,
qarrar yiʿmal sandweeshe zgheere
w yishrab kaase shaay
After a little while
he went to the kitchen,
decided to make a small sandwich
and drink a cup of tea
بعد الأكل
غسل أسنانه
وشرب كاسة مي باردة
baʿd il-akel
ghasal asnaano
w shirib kaase mayy baarde
After eating
he brushed his teeth
and drank a cup of cold water
رجع على غرفته،
تمدّد على سريره،
ونام
rijiʿ ʿala ghurfto,
tmaddad ʿala sareero,
w naam
He went back to his room,
stretched out on his bed,
and slept
